  • Dyslexia

  • Dysgraphia

  • Dyscalculia

  • ADHD

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

Independent Educational Evaluation

(IEE) A comprehensive assessment conducted by a qualified professional outside the school district.

It is typically requested when parents disagree with a school’s evaluation and want an unbiased second opinion. An IEE offers an objective perspective, a deeper understanding of a student’s learning, behavior, and development, and clear, actionable recommendations for educational planning.

Parents may request an IEE when:

  • They disagree with the school’s evaluation

  • The evaluation feels incomplete or doesn’t capture the whole child

  • Their child isn’t making expected progress despite supports

  • There are complex learning, attention, or emotional concerns

Screening Assessment

A brief, targeted evaluation:

Designed to quickly understand a student’s thinking and learning skills—without the depth of a full psychoeducational evaluation. It can identify strengths and areas of concern, determine if a student is performing below, at, or above expectations,  explore whether there is a pattern suggestive of a learning difference and help decide if a full evaluation is warranted.

IQ Testing

Some private and independent schools—especially highly selective ones—require a formal cognitive assessment as part of the application to understand a child’s learning profile and assess readiness for a rigorous academic environment.
